For a number of years now, Philibert Savours has been developing an integrated social responsibility strategy at a company level.

Our pledges to other stakeholders in the industry:

Commitment to the environment

  • Procuring cereals from accredited CRC growers, whose responsible crop management helps to preserve the environment and its biodiversity. CRC stands for Culture Raisonnée Contrôlée, the French equivalent of minimum input precision agriculture.
  • We have a schedule for spreading our liquid wastes directly on fields and we recycle our powder waste as animal feed.
  • We are a member of the STEEEP (Support & Training for an Excellent Energy Efficiency Performance) program. This involves a study and the monitoring of energy use throughout our production facilities.

Commitment to the regional economy

  • In the Dombes area of the Ain département, we are taking part in the reintroduction of certain crops such as buckwheat, spelt and Camp Remy. This restores economic activity in this territory and supports a network of local farmers.
  • We have put in place regional supply chains to ensure the economic viability of local stakeholders.
  • An agreement which sets fixed prices that will ensure stakeholders get a fair return for their work.
  • Member of the Fondation Terra Isara….

Commitment to society

  • We have implemented the OHSAS 18001 standard for health and safety at work.
  • We have also built a new head office which is being accredited for Haute Performance Energétique (high energy efficiency standard NF HPE) to the level of BEPOS Effinergie + (Bâtiment à Energie POSitive). This new working space takes into account the welfare and working environment of our team.
